The Open Air Film Festival has entered the hearts of the Athenians. One of the best initiatives of the city in recent years.
The festival was launched in June and will last until September. The full programme has as follows:
Athens transforms into an open cinema and life on the big screen continues with the iconic film noir by Roman Polanski. “Chinatown”is playing in the garden of the Byzantine Museum (09/07), “The payday of Fear” by William Frintkin will be displayed after decades for the first time again in Greece on the walkway of D. Aeropagitou on the (10/07).
The most euphoric film of Alain Resnais, theunorthodox musical “Life is a Song” (14/07) and the favorite movie by the same director Pantelis Voulgaris, the “Acropolis” at the Euripidean Theatre Rematias in Halandri on the(15/07). The “Let women wait” by Stavros Tsiolis will play in the Parkof the Platonos Academy on the(17/07).
Chinatown and “Life is a Song” are two excellent examples of contemporary cinema which stand out by far.
