“The Libation Bearers,” the second play in Aeschylus’ trilogy, will be presented by The Next Stage Ensemble players at Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan on Thursday, August 7 at 7 PM.

The trilogy is about return Agamemnon from the Trojan War, his murder, and the revenge exacted by his children, Orestes and Electra for his murder at the hands of his wife, Clytemnestra.

This free performance will be held at Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive. Information is available by calling the Library at 732-431-7220 x7222.

According Asbury Park Press “Next Stage Ensemble, a division of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey’s Summer Professional Training Program, was created to nurture the work of early career actors and to train them in ensemble-based performance techniques…The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is New Jersey’s only professional theatre company dedicated to Shakespeare’s canon and other classic masterworks. Through its productions and education programs, the company strives to illuminate the universal and lasting relevance of the classics for contemporary audiences.”
