2012 Brigaldara Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Just from the way it looks in the glass that you’re in for about to have a full body experience.

Produced from Corvinone, Corvina, and Rondinella, this wine from grapes that have been laid out to dry in the sun on straw mats.

If you’ve ever squeezed a raisin, you can imagine how little juice comes from each of the dried grapes.

This is one of the reasons for the higher price tag that comes along with an Amarone, as the process calls for a much higher yield of grapes for production. This process also kicks up the alcohol content, and is responsible for the incredible density of fruit and flavor packed in an Amarone.
