YEREVAN, Armenia – Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Cyprus Defense Minister Christoforos Fokaides signed a military agreement here May 27.

Ohanyan later told reporters that the project was for military cooperation in 2015 based on “friendship and mutual support in the field of defense,” according to World Bulletin.

He said that he had accepted Fokaides’ proposal for organizing joint military exercises in which the countries will participate

Armenia and Cyprus have already signed more than 20 agreements in health, economy, education, industrial and military matters and signed a military and military technical cooperation plan in 2012.
