It’s not quite Easter yet, but the cold weather makes a nice hearty lamb dinner just the right entree. And we’ve got just the right wine to go with it!
The Arns Estate Grown Cabernet is, in my opinion, an example of a wine that is powerful and bold yet also elegant and nuanced.
Dark fruit, cocoa, tobacco and violet light up a palate with a silky and bold body. Two years in French Oak add warmth and spice, but stops short at making the wine come across as manipulated. This wine remains a pure and almost regal expression of Cabernet, and stands out to me amongst its peers in Napa Valley.
The palate continues into a long, sleek finish, and while I enjoyed tasting this wine already, it will certainly show well over the next decade. Pair this with a slow cooked rack of lamb.
