The Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies appealed to the State Council asking for the annullment of the decision of the president of EOPYY which sets a ceiling on the prescription of generics, saying it is unconstitutional and illegal.

More specifically, the president of the National Organisation for Provision of Health Services (EOPYY) has set specific spending limits regarding the medicines a doctor can prescribe per insured each month.

The Association argues that the introduction of the ceiling threatens the health of a large part of the population.
