A 40-year-old American was swimming when he was attacked by a big white shark and managed to survive hitting the shark in the nose.

Steven Robles, who was swimming with a group of 15 people for charity purpose, was attacked by the shark because, according to American media, it panicked as it was trapped in the nets of fishermen.

The great white shark, which according to experts was very young, bit Robles in the ribs, back and right arm, causing multiple puncture wound.
Robles told reporters he punched the shark in the nose, which is a frequently recommended strategy when faced with an attack.
