Metropolitans Savas of Pittsburgh and Evangelos of New Jersey also participated in the service as did bishops Antonios of Phasiane and Sevastianos of Zela, along with clergy including Fr. John Vlahos, the Cathedral Dean, Fr. Elias Villas, Fr. Nathanael Symeonides and Archdeacon Panteleimon Papadopoulos.

Amb. Vasilios Philippou, the Consul General of Cyprus was also present with other dignitaries from New York and beyond.

Demos’ son George and Michael Jaharis, Vice Chairman of the Archdiocesan Council, joined Archbishop Demetrios is delivering touching eulogies.
