A joint Memorandum was signed Wednesday between Cyprus and Greece for Crisis Management. It provides for the strengthening of military cooperation between the two states.

Minister of Defence of Cyrpus Christoforos Fokaides and the Minister of National Defence of Greece Demetris Avramopoulos, signed the memoranda. The latter paid Cyprus a visit on the occasion of the Republic`s Independence Day.

After the meeting, “Fokaides said that the Memorandum was signed with the aim to strengthen the two countries` defence cooperation for the safeguarding of their territorial integrity and the protection of their sovereignty,” according to ANA.
