Cyprus and Greece signed a memorandum of cooperation on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) on November 28. The agreement aims to strengthen and develop bilateral relation and to exchange information about best practices in various fields.

Cypriot Minister for Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis and Greek Deputy Minister of Development and Competitiveness Odysseas Konstantinopoulos signed the documents.

The agreement “concerns policy formulation for SMEs, the development of economic cooperation between SMEs in Cyprus and Greece and the exchange of best practices, expertise, technology and IT infrastructure. Under the Memorandum, Greece will provide Cyprus with the template of the Greek digital information platform ‘Startup Greece’ in order to create its own platform for information, networking and cooperation of all relevant authorities and enterprises,” according to CNA.
