Greek Cypriot negotiator Andreas Mavroyiannis and Turkish Cypriot negotiator Kudret Özersay met on Wednesday in the United Nations Protected Area and continued substantive negotiations and exchanged proposals on the federal public service, on matters related to the police and on past acts, according to the UN.

Spokesperson of the Good Offices Mission in Cyprus Michel Bonnardeaux says in a statement that, as requested by the two leaders during their meeting on 7 July 2014, the negotiators agreed on a special meeting to be held on July 18 to further discuss confidence-building measures, methodology and the way forward.

The next scheduled meeting of the negotiators will be held on July 16 at the Good Offices Mission.
