In its statement on the occasion of 40 years since the reinstatement of Democracy in Greece, Democratic Left (DIMAR) underlined that “political forces and plain citizens both have a duty to safeguard Democracy and fight for egalitarianism and social justice”.

“Forty years after the fall of the junta and the reinstatement of Democracy, the democratic powers must keep alive the memories of struggles and sacrifices”, said DIMAR.

Referring to the new generation that is haunted by the specter of unemployment and marginalization, DIMAR stated that the only guarantee for a better future is the enhancement of democracy and social solidarity.
