ATHENS – A few days after the shocking news that a woman on life support died in Hania, Crete after her electricity was disconnected because she could not pay her buill a Member of Parliament helped get power restored for a man who breathes through the aid of a machine.

MP Zeta Makri contacted the Public Power Corporation (DEH) and told of the plight of the man from Nea Anchialos in Magnesia. She said the man was on an oxygen respirator.

DEH, which is investigating the death of a 56-year-old woman in Crete, said that it was unaware of the man’s situation.

All consumers in similar situations are urged to contact DEH through its hotline 11770.
