ATHENS – Greece’s Parliament has voted to accept a 2.3-million euro offer from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) to create a hostel for relatives of cancer patients.

The hostel is to be built next to the Oncological Hospital Aghioi Anaragyroi in Kifissia, northern Athens. The hospital treats 9,700 patients a year, Parliament heard.

SNF is a major contributor to Greek causes, especially during the country’s ongoing economic crisis and is also making major investments.
