PIRAEUS – Olympiacos ran its record to 7-1 in Euroleague basketball play with a big 77-72 win over the Spanish team Unicaja Malaga.

The Reds were playing before 7,000 fans and staged a comeback, trailing the visitors 33-29 at the half before turning on the gas in the second half, not letting a poor shooting performance stop them from rebounding.

Olympiacos was led by sharpshooting captain Vassilis Spanoulis with 18, and with 13 points from Giorgos Printezis, enough to pull away from a 58-58 tie in the last five minutes to get the victory.

It wasn’t as close as the score as Malaga got a game-ending three pointer from a Greek player, Costas Vassiliadis, shooting from half court at the buzzer.
