ATHENS — Panthrakikos beat third-place PAOK 3-1 in the Greek league on March 21, when last-place OFI announced it was dropping out.

OFI was the second team to withdraw after Niki Volos. Both clubs were struggling financially.

Defeat kept PAOK 10 points behind leader Olympiakos, which hosts Kerkyra on March 22 and has a game in hand, and four behind second-place Panathinaikos, which visits Veria on March 22. Panthrakikos was joint 12th.

Nicolas Diguiny and Christos Tzanis scored in the first half and Igor de Souza added a penalty in the second for Panthrakikos. PAOK narrowed the gap through Dimitris Papadopoulos early in the second half.

The visitors played the final 13 minutes of the game with 10 players after Yiannis Skondras was dismissed for a second yellow card.

Also, Levadiakos won 1-0 at Ergotelis.
