Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides announced that Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades returned to Cyprus on Saturday afternoon and is in “very good” health,
Christodoulides said in a written statement that “the President of the Republic Mr Nicos Anastasiades returned to Cyprus from Brussels, today at 5pm” and added he “is in very good health…The doctors have recommended that the President rests for the next 48 hours.”
“President Anastasiades who had traveled to Brussels to take part in the European Council meeting, had suffered a prolonged nosebleed and was admitted to a hospital where tests established that he was suffering from hypertension. He spent Thursday evening in an ENT hospital for precautionary reasons,” according to CNA.
