An undersea quake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck off the southern coast of the island of Crete early in the morning of May 11 and later near another island off its coast, Kasos.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

According to the Athens Geodynamic Institute, the quake’s epicenter was located 17 kilometers below the seabed, 42 kilometers west of the coastal town of Ierapetra.

The Kasos tremor was recorded at 4.4 east of Crete and was located 10 kilometers below the seabed, 35 kilometers south of the smaller island.
