SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Mike Moustakas had a quiet evening. A walk, no hits, and a run scored, in his Royals’ 11-4 shellacking by the hometown San Francisco Giants, who evened the World Series at two games apiece with their ace, Madison Baumgarner, taking the mound Sunday for Game 5.
Counting on their H-D-H formula of pitchers Kelvin Herrera, Wade Davis and Greg Holland to close out the game, the Royals aim to stay ahead after six innings.
That was almost the case, but San Francisco scored three runs in the 6th to take a 7-4 lead, and added four more in the seventh.
With the Series tied 2-2 at least one game, on Tuesday evening, is guaranteed back in Kansas City, where crowd favorite Moustakas is sure to be greeted with moose antlers (his nickname is “Moose”).
Meanwhile, TNH and the Greek-American community are keeping a close watch on the Series.
