ATHENS – Greek police said a 23-year-old man believed to be an accomplice of apprehended November 17 terrorist fugitive Christodoulos Xiros was arrested in the coastal neighborhood of Glyfada.

The suspect is believed to have stolen the white van that was found earlier this month in the western Athenian suburb of Aegaleo, authorities said.

Police said they suspect Xiros was planning to use the van in an attack against Korydallos Prison. Plans for the jailbreak were found in one of his safe-houses. The suspect was set to appear before a prosecutor on Jan. 22.
