After a year in the government the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Mr. Plamen Oresharski submitted his resignation on Wednesday night in the Parliament.
The government of Mr. Plamen Oresharski supported the coalition between the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” (RPS). That is, the second and third biggest party in the early parliamentary elections in May 2013, when the first GERB party failed to form a government due to political isolation.
However, recently both parties of coalition successively withdrew their support from the government after the heavy defeat of the socialists in the European elections. Opening the door, thereby appointing a government of technocrats to prepare for early parliamentary elections on the 5th of October, as agreed by the main political forces.
The Parliament is expected to accept the resignation of the government on Thursday or Friday, which meanwhile was herald by the Prime Minister Mr. Plamen Oresharski.
