Minister of Interior Minister Argyris Ntinopoulos said that there will be no lay-offs at regional authority stating that regional authority has contributed to the program of redundancies set up by the government and referred to municipal police and school security guards as examples.

Asked about the 6,500 lay-offs that are planned and should be complete by the end of 2014, he said that the Minister for Administrative Reform, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is responsible, but stated that these lay-offs do not include the regional authority.
