NEW YORK – Well, not literally. But the way things are going for Gary and Addie Tomei, parents of Marisa of Hollywood fame, that may not be too far off. Because the roots of a 60-foot high Alianthus (not Norwegian Wood) tree owned by their next-door neighbor Sean Lennon, son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, are tearing through their walls and have warped their foundation, reports the New York Daily News.

“I like him personally but he’s stubborn and he has a lawyer who is very belligerent,” explained Mr. Tomei, about the Beatles legend’s son, the Daily Mail reported, apparently confirming that We Can’t Work it Out.

The Tomeis complained to Lennon over a year ago, the Mail wrote, but he has ignored their pleas, they say, apparently preferring to Imagine There’s no Tree.

They’ve been trying to get in touch with him for over a year, but Lennon has been unresponsive, the Mail reports. Evidently, he’s a real Nowhere Man.

Money – that’s what they want, to the tune of $10 million –  because as the Tomeis intend to prove, the Long and Winding Roots…are coming through their pipes.

And While their Gutter Gently Weeps, they might lament…Yesterday…they were able to take a shower.

Though the Tomeis hoped the lawsuit would inspire Lennon to take some action, at the moment there’s Nothin’ Shakin’ but the Leaves on the Tree.
