Alsace is a unique and wonderful wine producing region best known for its noble varietals of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Muscat.

Pinot Blanc may not be included in the lineup of nobility, but it makes for an excellent wine, and this expression from Jean-Luc Mader is not to be missed.

Ripe white fruit flavors are evident here – Bosc pear and fresh apple – and its ample fruit is complimented by floral notes.

The palate shows depth and richness along with bright acidity. This is a dry style wine, and is certainly ready to pop open immediately, but would also hold up to a few years in your cellar.

As fall gets rolling, this is a nice choice to pair with roasted turkey – especially on Thanksgiving Day!
