Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos said international lenders better keep bailouts coming or Greece will unleash immigrants on the EU.

Greece Threatens To Unleash Jihadists

The Independent – Adam Withnall

Greece has threatened the rest of Europe with a “wave of economic migrants” that could include Isis militants if the country is allowed to go bust by international lenders.

In a shock escalation of the rhetoric surrounding bailout talks in Brussels, the Greek defence minister Panos Kammenos vowed: “If they strike us, we will strike them.”

European creditors told Athens to stop “wasting time” putting forward its proposals for economic reforms pledged by the new left-wing Syriza-led coalition government.

If an agreement cannot be reached, the International Monetary Fund has said it will discontinue payments on a £172 billion bailout, forcing Greece to go bust and crash out of the eurozone.

Mr Kammenos said: “If they deal a blow to Greece, then they should know the migrants will get papers to go to Berlin.”

“If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State too.

Mr Kammenos, who is also the leader of Syriza’s minor coalition partners Independent Greeks, specifically referred to the Schengen area of free travel in his threat, and said his country would give all comers papers so they “could go straight to Berlin”

Greece to EU: Bailout or Jihad

Greek Defense Minister Panos Kammenos warns Europe that if no bailout of its economic crisis is forthcoming, his nation will flood Europe with migrants and jihadists, providing them with papers to travel legally throughout the continent.

Greece is expected to go broke this month.

Kammenos said: “If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State, too.” …

“If they strike us, we will strike them,” the official said. “We will give to migrants from everywhere the documents they need to travel in the Schengen area, so that the human wave could go straight to Berlin.” The Schengen area is passport-free.

Only Britain would be spared the threat, if carried out, as it has retained its border controls.

Give Us Bailout Or We’ll Flood You With Jihadists

The Daily Mirror – Sam Relph

Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos said they would give ‘migrants from everywhere the documents the need to travel in the Schengen area’

Greece threatened to flood Europe with jihadists and economic migrants if it is allowed to go bust this month.

Furious Defence Minister Panos Kammenos warned that travel papers would be handed to illegal immigrants crossing its borders if EU chiefs refused to continue bailout payments.

He said: “If Europe leaves us in the crisis, we will flood it with migrants, and it will be even worse for Berlin if in that wave of millions of economic migrants there will be some jihadists of the Islamic State too.”

Greece will go bust and be forced out of the EU’s single currency if the £172billion bailout is halted.

EU finance chiefs are currently deciding whether to continue the handouts. Germany is calling the shots on the deal.

Mr Kammenos said his threat would affect the EU’s passport-free Schengen area.

“If they strike us, we will strike them. We will give to migrants from everywhere the documents they need to travel in the Schengen area, so that the human wave could go straight to Berlin,” he said.
