Yiannakis Omirou, the President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus has urged his countrymen to demonstrate unity as they search for a fair solution to the Cyprus problem.

“Omirou pointed out that the Greek Cypriot side should insist on refusing to accept two states and a so-called partnership, a priori legitimisation of the illegal Turkish settlers and guarantor rights,” according to CNA.

He spoke at the annual memorial service in Nicosia for politician Yiannos Kranidiotis and decalred it is “our duty towards the undying memory of Yiannos Kranidiotis to continue the struggle for a just solution, in line with the acquis communautaire.”
